About Nepal

Nepal lies in South Asia at the lap of the Central Himalayas, bordering Tibet (China) on the north and India on the East, West, and south, making Nepal a landlocked country. In terms of location, Nepal lies at 26022’N-30027’latitude and 8004’E-88012’E longitude, extending its boundary to 147181 sq. km.

Topographically, Nepal is divided into three parts: The Himalayan region, the hilly, and the Terai region, where 26% of our land consists of the Himalayas, 50% consist of Hilly areas, and the remaining 24% of Terai areas.

In terms of Elevation, the lowland of Nepal starts from 60m (south) above sea level rising up to 8848(Mt. Everest). One-third of the total length of the Himalayas lies inside Nepal’s borders and the country claims 10 of the world’s 14 tallest mountains in the world. These white snow-capped mountains are a great source of water flowing through more than 600 rivers toward the Indian Ocean.

Nepal is a multiethnic, multicultural, and bilingual country. Among the total population of 29 million majorities follows Hinduism as a religion, followed by Buddhism, Islam, Kirat, Christianity, and Prakriti (worshiper of Nature).

Ever since I can remember, the Himalayas have beckoned me with their mystical allure and awe-inspiring beauty. As a young enthusiast, I embarked on my first trek, and from that moment, I knew that this was my destined path. Guiding people through the magnificent trails of Nepal has become not just a profession but a way of life for me.

Nepal, a land of diverse culture and pristine landscapes, offers an array of trekking experiences that cater to all levels of adventurers. From the renowned Everest Base Camp trek to the picturesque Annapurna Circuit, each journey brings its own unique charm and challenges. Over the years, I have guided countless trekkers from around the world, introducing them to the hidden gems and rich traditions that are nestled within the Himalayan ranges.

As a trekking guide, safety is always at the forefront of my mind. I have undergone extensive training in wilderness first aid and rescue techniques to ensure the well-being of my trekkers in the rugged terrains. Additionally, I believe in responsible trekking, advocating for eco-friendly practices and supporting the local communities that call the mountains their home.

One of the most rewarding aspects of my job is witnessing the sheer joy and sense of accomplishment in the faces of my trekkers as they conquer high passes, cross suspension bridges over raging rivers, and bask in the serenity of remote mountain villages. The camaraderie that forms within the trekking groups often creates lifelong friendships and adds a beautiful dimension to the entire experience.

Having spent decades exploring the nooks and crannies of Nepal, I possess an intimate knowledge of the region’s flora, fauna, and cultural heritage. I take great pleasure in sharing these insights with my fellow trekkers, enriching their journey with the stories and traditions of the local communities we encounter along the way.
